Lesson 4.3: What Influences Drug Use?

Students will examine the role of media as a key influence on perceptions and decisions related to substance use.

Students will watch and discuss two videos, focusing on critically analyzing the media and its messages.

Students will analyze an energy drink ad to identify marketing techniques and think critically about media messages.

Students will design a youth-targeted ad about a substance, using accurate information to discourage use while reflecting on advertising and media messages.
